Recorded in Encino, CA
In the garage to be specific.
"And it’s something of a pleasure to report that ‘Wasting Light’ does not suck, not even a little bit..." - NME
Producer Butch Vig and engineer James R Brown pictured in front of some fans.
The process was captured on analog equipment.
“rock n'roll is about flaws and imperfections” - Chris Shiflett
The family affair including Krist Novoselic, Bob Mould, Fee Waybill, Rami Jaffee and Jessy Greene was captured in the documentary ‘Back and Forth.’
The doc also features Pat Smear’s mustache.
Where to tour an album made in a garage? Other people’s garages.

Some things that happened between the albums…
Dave’s side project ‘Crisis of Conformity.’
And the Greatest Hits (2009) was released including a new German favorite, ‘Wheels.’
The best Foo album to date, the most consistent in content and quality of content. And full analogue recording - Amazing!
I’ve still got my little bit of cutting room floor tape with my copy of the CD.
And what about the introduction to this album with the live from 606 livestream!!!
…and who could forget the triumphant return of Pat Smear (well me apparently as I had to edit this reply!), wait where did Chris go??? Woah, he’s still there too, a triumvirate of guitarists and an even bigger sound than normal!!
I love love love this album. No bad songs or skippers. Dave was also hot as hell in this era.
