‘Till the wheels come off’ - I absolutely feel that. And the story about the lobster really hit home. It’s striking how, despite our different paths, we go through such similar phases of growth, discomfort, and rebuilding. This whole piece was incredibly relatable. Honest, human, and moving in a way that stays with you. Here’s to growing new shells, and to continuing our journeys...onwards and upwards!

I can’t lie, a few tears were shed listening to this and reading your story. Thank you Dave, Nate, Pat, William, Taylor, Franz, Chris, Rami, and Josh. Your band is truly special and the people who were a part of making it are more than just musicians.

Coming back on a crowded train from London yesterday afternoon, my socials had gone wild with the new song and Dave’s message. Couldn’t wait until I got home so with the rumbling of the tracks and announcements in the background eagerly dived in.

Instinct said, listen to the message, so first of all so good to hear your voice again and what a wonderful letter to everyone who’s been on the journey with you. It’s certainly been an interesting route for you guys but as you said, every page turns, it’s a lesson learned in time and like your little 🦞pal each page and new shell weaves its way into the amazing songs you create.

I was trying to think what the song reminded me of, ah a C&G vibe with a hint of BHWA! As always we can interpret the lyrics in different ways but I’d say listening to the message does make the song more meaningful.

So glad the wheels are still spinning and look forward to seeing where you take the bus to next! Definitely on board!

I’ve got another confession to make.. I like the Foo’s then, and love them now! I have only seen them live a few times but look forward to a road trip every time the come back around.

I cried in Seattle last year when we flew from Saginaw to attended the show as I was able to see “My Hero” musically on stage one more time as they concluded their tour, and was rocked by the bomb that was dropped soon thereafter, afraid once again that this might be the end of the road for my favorite band.

I’m ecstatic for the new music and anxious about the future to come and excited to see what direction Dave and the band take us next as I ride along on this road trip called life! … and Dave we do want you and the boy to release and tour an acoustic album! You hinted at it in Seattle last year, and now I have become obsessed with the idea and cannot wait to hear what you come out with!
